TARINKOT (Pajhwok): The appellant prosecutor office in central Uruzgan province on Thursday issued arrest warrant for Lali, former district police chief of Gaizab over deliberate killing of a civilian and torturing others.
Fazal Sultan Sapi, provincial prosecutor officer, told Pajhwok Afghan News enough evidence had been gathered verifying atrocities committed by Lali and they had to issue his arrest warrant.
Police had been directed to arrest the former district police chief as soon as possible, he added.
However, Lali in his chat with Pajhwok Afghan News rejected the charges against him saying all those allegations leveled against him were untrue.
The Ministry of Interior had already ordered the authorities’ concerned to arrest Shujaee, a notorious gangster in the province, who was said to be involved in the killing and torturing of innocent civilians.
However, the orders of the ministry would be implemented yet.
