KABUL (Pajhwok): Hundreds of people in the capital Kabul on Monday held a protest demonstration against cross-border attacks by Pakistani troops into Dangam district of eastern Kunar province.
Fiery protesters chanting anti-Pakistan slogans said they were ready to protect the country from Pakistani aggression if the Afghan government was unable to counter Pakistani forces frequent attacks.
The rally was arranged by the weekly magazine Loyi Afghanistan or Greater Afghanistan in which a resolution was adopted asking the government to lodge strong protest against Pakistan’s aggression at the UN’s Security Council (UNSC).
The protesters demanded the US should come forward and fulfill its responsibility mentioned in the strategic deal with Afghanistan. They said the international community should not remain silent about the growing cross-border shelling Pakistan.
Pakistan had intensified rocket attacks into eastern Kunar province in recent days and using helicopters gunship pounding Dangam district that sent shock waves among Afghans.
