KABUL (Pajhwok): One person was killed in a blast in the ninth municipality district of capital Kabul on Saturday, an official said.
The incident happened at around 6:00 am on Kabul-Jalalabad road in front of Phoenix Camp where US forces are stationed, Col. Salim Almas, police district chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
Sources said the explosion likely triggered by cylinder in a car. Almas said officials at the camp remained unhurt. He said investigations had been launched to identify cause of the explosion.
