TARINKOT (Pajhwok): Dozens of residents on Tuesday staged a protest against an Afghan National Army (ANA) soldier who allegedly killed a young man in central Uruzgan province.
But the soldier said the 26 years old man he shot dead had links with rebels. The protestors said soldiers had entered the victim’s house, held him in custody for several hours and shot him to death.
The residents warned if the government did not execute the killer, they would launch province-wide protest. The protestors said there was no justification for the outrageous action.
