MAZAR-I-SHARIF (Pajhwok): A number of journalists completed a 3-day rigorous documentary making training for the first time and received certificate on Wednesday in Mazar-i-Sharif, the capital of northern Balkh province.
Gulab Shah Bawar, chairman of northern zone journalists, said that the documentary making training was mandatory to bolster the skill and knowledge of journalists.
Different organizations have organized several other news and feature writing workshops for improving standard of journalism in Mazar-I-Sharif, he said, adding that it was the first time that documentary making workshop was held.
Shah said that Thomas, a foreign journalist, has arranged a documentary making training programme for 18 working journalists.
Wahid Orya, head of local radio in Mazar-i-Sharif, a trainee in documentary making workshop, said he had never attended a documentary making training and had learnt a lot of technical learning in 3-day workshop.
