Pakistan sees improved military links with Afghanistan

PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): Senior commanders of the Pakistaninfo-icon Army have expressed satisfaction with military-level engagement between Kabulinfo-icon and Islamabad.

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa chaired the Corps Commanders conference, which voiced satisfaction with military links with the neighbouring country.

A statement from the army’s media wing said the huddle in the garrison town of Rawalpindi on Wednesday discussed the geo-strategic environmentinfo-icon, regional peace and internal security.

Gen. Bajwa directed the top commanders to continue consolidating the gains made against militancy in the war against terror, the statement added.

“The forum expressed satisfaction over progress in military level engagements with Afghanistaninfo-icon for regional peace, especially through the Afghanistan Pakistan Action Plan for Peace and Stability (APAPPS),” the ISPR said.
