ANP wants Afghan govt included in peace parleys

PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): A senior Awami National Party (ANP) leader has hailed recent meetings aimed at bringing peace to Afghanistaninfo-icon.

US diplomats and Afghan power-brokers recently met Talibaninfo-icon’s representatives in the UAE, Qatar and Russia on ways of ending the ongoing conflict.

On the peace parley, ANP President for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province Amir Haider Hoti stressed the inclusion of Afghan government in such meetings.

Hoti paid glowing tribute to Ajmal Khattak as a poet and politician, who rendered great sacrifices for the rights of Pakhtuns and unity among them.

He praised the revolutionary poet’s services on his ninth death anniversary at a function at the Bacha Khan Markaz in Peshawar on Thursday.

Hoti hailed Bashir Bilour, Haroon Bilour, Mian Rashid Hussain, Tahir Dawar, Naqeebullah Mehsud and Arman Loni as martyrs of Pakhtuns.
