Afghanistan’s disabled team beats Pakistan
KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan
’s disabled cricket team has defeated Pakistan
in the second match of the five-nation Twenty20 World
Series in England.
After winning the toss, Pakistan decided to bowl first and the Afghans set them a 139 runs target in the 16 overs match, the Afghanistan Cricket Board said.
For Afghanistan, Mohammadullah scored 60 runs, Jamil Shah 46 and Mohammad Ashraf 25.
In response, Pakistan were restricted to 116 and Afghanistan thus won the match by 26 runs.
Afghan bowlers Sherin Agha grabbed four wickets, Zubair two and Jamil Mandozai one. Sherin Agha was declared the man of the match.
The match was reduced from 20 overs to 16 due to rain.
