Former Taliban official shot in Pakistan

QUETTA (PANinfo-icon): Gunmen shot and wounded a former Talibaninfo-icon official in Pakistaninfo-icon’s Baluchistan province, an official said on Thursday.

The attack happened late on Wednesday in Rozuddin area of Chaman, when former Taliban official, Mullahinfo-icon Manzor, was returning to his home from his office, a local journalist in Chaman, Namatullah, told Pajhwok Afghan News.

Manzor was taken to Chaman Civil Hospital by his family, later he was taken to Quetta hospital, Namatullah said.

Naseer Ahmad, who lives in the area, said Manzor had no links with any group and he was attacked as a result of past enmity.

On the other hand, healthinfo-icon officials in Quetta civil hospital did not confirm receiving any injured former Taliban official.

The government officials also did not confirm the incident and no group has taken the responsibility for the attack so far.
