KANDAHAR CITY (PAN): Three people were wounded during a suicide attack in southern Kandahar province on Thursday morning, an official said.
The bomber on foot detonated his suicide vest in the second police district of Kandahar City at 9:15am, the provincial police chief told Pajhwok Afghan News.
Col. Khan Muhammad Mujahid said the attacker blew himself up before police fired at him. Two women in a rickshaw and a policeman at the site were injured.
NATO-led foreign troops, who were in the locality at the time of the bombing, were the apparent target, the police chief believed.
