KABUL Chambers of Commerce and Industries (ACCI) and the Turkish International Business Council in Kabul on Saturday.

With the creation of the council, problems of traders and investors would be solved and business information exchanged between the two sides, ACCI head, Mohammad Qurban Haqjo, told reporters.

The council would encourage Turkish entrepreneurs to invest in Afghanistan and facilitate exhibitions in both countries, he said.

The agreement was signed during the visit of a 25-member delegation of Turkish businessmen and officials to Kabul, invited by the ACCI.

Afghanistanexports expensive carpets, handicrafts, precious stones and dry fruits to Turkey. The visiting delegation will stay in Afghanistan for a week.

The delegation will have meetings with at ministries of economy and mines to discuss the improvement of bilateral economic cooperation.

A mines ministry spokesman, Jawad Omer, told Pajhwok Afghan News they were willing to provide complete information for Turkish businessmen regarding investment in the mines industry.

According to a survey, Afghanistan has natural resources of different kinds worth about $3 trillion (138,390 billion afghanis).
