KANDAHAR CITY (PAN-led soldiers were wounded in a bomb attack on their convoy in southern Kandahar province on Thursday, the governor’s spokesman said.
The International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) convoy came under attack at about 9am in the Mirwais Mina area west of Kandahar City, the provincial capital, Zalmay Ayubi told Pajhwok Afghan News.
A shopkeeper in the area, Noorullah, said the international troops cordoned off the scene after the huge explosion. He had no idea about the casualties resulting from the blast.
As usual, the Taliban asserted responsibility for the assault. A militant spokesman, Qari Yousaf Ahmadi, said three foreign soldiers were killed in the bombing.
