Would-be suicide bomber detained in Jalalabad

JALALABAD (PAN): A would-be suicide bomber was arrested with explosives in the eastern province of Nangarhar, an official said on Sunday.

Two suicide vests, three bags of explosives and three pressure cookers were seized from the detainee near Jalalabad, Nangarhar police chief, Brig. Gen Alishah Paktiawal, told Pajhwok Afghan News.

Elsewhere in the province, a bomb exploded in the Do Saraka area of Jalalabad, injuring a child, said Ahmad Zia Abdulzai, the governor’s spokesman.
