KABUL-led soldiers in the central province of Kapisa on Thursday, an official said.

The clash occurred in the Tatarkhel area of Tagab district at about 1:00pm, district police chief, Pacha Gul Bakhtiar, told Pajhwok Afghan News.

The wounded child was taken to a military hospital of foreign soldiers. A woman was injured when a mortar shell landed in her house in the Zarghar village, resident Abdul Mutalib said.

A large number of civilians have been killed and wounded in clashes between guerrillas and foreign forces in recent weeks, alleged another villager, Tahir.

Nine members of a family were wounded as a result of a clash in the Ghazikhel village of the district last week, he recalled.
