CHARIKAR): Three dead bodies, one believed to be of the Bamyan council chief, were found in central Parwan province, officials said on Tuesday.
The bodies were dumped on a road in the Qamchaq area of Siah Gird district, the district chief, Abdul Hakim Mujaddedi, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
The provincial council chief, Mohammad Jawad Zahak, had been kidnapped by unidentified gunmen on his way to Bamyan from Siah Gird, he said.
One the bodies in military uniform had bombs strapped to it, on Tuesday found dumped on the side of a road No one could dare go close to the body, he said.
The Shibar district chief, Mohammad Azim Farid, verified recovery of the bodies. He also believed one of the victims might be Zahak.
