MAIDAN SHAR (PAN survived a rocket attack on Wednesday in the central province of Maidan Wardak, officials said.

Second Vice President Karim Khalili and Interior Minister Bismillah Muhammadi were among officials participating in the inauguration ceremony of a police training centre in the Tope desert when a rocket landed near the gathering around 10 am, the provincial governor’s spokesman, Shahidullah Shahid, told Pajhwok Afghan News.

The rocket landed about 20 meters from the gathering, and no one was injured in the attack, he said.
