KABUL programme in northern Samangan and Sar-i-Pul provinces.
Aimed at strengthening vulnerable people’s right to health, the project will be implemented in three years at a cost of 140 million afghanis, the SCA said in a statement.
Under the programme, eight new health clinics will be constructed in Samangan and six in Sar-i-Pul. Seven health facilities will be renovated and expanded — four in Samangan and three in Sar-i-Pul.
Additionally, the statement said, 77 health facilities would be equipped and refurnished in the two provinces.
“A proper physical environment, including well-constructed health-facilities, is essential to providing quality healthcare services to the target population,” said Dr Shams-ul-Islam Shams, the SCA health programme head.
