AIBAK (PANinfo-icon): Six people lost their lives in an overnight traffic accident in the capital of northern Samangan province, officials said on Friday.

A car collided with another vehicle in the Rabatak area of Aibak, killing six passengers, traffic police chief Col. Muhammad Ibrahim said.

An official at the surgery department of the civil hospital, Dr. Sirajuddin, said the dead were aged between 20 and 30 years.

Thirty-one people have been killed and 56 others injured in 39 traffic accidents on the Samangan-Mazar-i- Sharif highway over the past four months.
