Accidents claim 11 lives in Daikundi

NILI (PANinfo-icon): Eleven people were killed and six others injured in two separate road accidents in the central province of Daikundi, officials said on Monday.

The first incident occurred when a van veered off the road and flipped over in Loran valley of Eshtarli district on Saturday evening, killing 10 passengers including a girl.

Six others were wounded in the incident, the district chief, Murtaza Alamizada, told Pajhwok Afghan News.

The driver fled the scene, said traffic department head, Lt. Col. Roohullah, said.

In Nili, the provincial capital, a motorcyclist was killed when he lost control of his bike and fell to the ground. The incident resulted from careless driving, Roohullah said.
