LASHKARGAH (PANinfo-icon): Fifty-two officers and 173 policemen on Wednesday completed an eight-month long training course and were given certificates during a graduation ceremony in Lashkargah, the capital of southern Helmand province, the governor's house said.

Foreign and Afghan mentors imparted the training to the policemen about human rights, good behavior with people, the constitution and military techniques, the governor's office said in a statement.

A big graduation ceremony was held in this regard in which Helmand security chief, Brig. Gen. Mohammad Hakim Angar, and some foreign and local senior officials participated.

The graduates were awarded certificates.

Angar asked the graduates to perform their duties honestly and win the hearts and minds of people with their good behavior.

He said the capability of police had increased and people evinced trust in them.

It was the 22nd graduation ceremony, as earlier 3050 police and 581 officers had graduated from the same training center.
