ASADABAD (PANinfo-icon): Four civilians were killed and six others wounded during a clash between Talibaninfo-icon and security personnel in eastern Kunar province, officials said on Saturday.

The gunbattle erupted on Friday night when the fighters stormed Afghan National Army (ANA) checkpoints in Asmar district, said a border police commander.

Lt. Col. Fazal Rabi told Pajhwok Afghan News it was unclear whether the Taliban or security forces' fire had caused the civilian casualties.
