KABUL): Four insurgents were killed and 33 others detained during joint operations over the past 24 hours in different provinces, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) said on Thursday.
The operations were conducted by Afghan and International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) personnel in Kabul, Nangarhar, Kunduz, Balkh, Kandahar, Nimroz, Maidan Wardak and Khost, the ministry said in a statement.
Eleven AK-47 assault rifles with nine magazines, three pistols, 559 bullets, 40 kilograms of ammonium nitrate, 10 RPG shells, 160 kg of explosives, three anti-vehicle mines, 10 anti-personnel mines, two magnetic bombs and 4 artillery shells, were seized.
