PUL-I-KHUMRI (PAN): Three people were killed and six others sustained injuries when a car flipped over on a road in northern Baghlan province, officials said on Monday.

The incident took place at around 12pm in the Syed Jalalab area between Nahrain and Baghlan-i-Markazi districts, traffic department head, Col. Syed Alam, told Pajhwok Afghan News.

Three occupants of the vehicle were killed on the spot and another six wounded in the mishap were taken to a hospital. The accident occurred after the driver apparently lost control of the car. An investigation team had been sent to the area to determine the cause, the police chief said.

A doctor at the Baghlan-i-Markazi district hospital, Khalil Naramgo, said they had received three dead bodies and six wounded people. Four of the injured are in a critical condition, he said.

Witness Ainuddin said the car flipped over on a narrow road when it was rounding a curve.
