KABULinfo-icon (PANinfo-icon): The Afghanistaninfo-icon Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) would constitute a committee to safeguard the right of consumers, an official said on Wednesday.

Having representation of the civil societyinfo-icon, traders, university professors, workers, media and consumers, the committee is being set up in the near future, the ACCI deputy head Khan Jan Alokozai told Pajhwok Afghan News.

He said the committee was aimed at highlighting problems related to price-hike and finding solution to it with the help of traders and the government.

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry Director General (International Trade), Muzammil Shinwari called the idea of establishing the committee as beneficial; saying the Ministry of Commerce and Industry would always welcome suggestions and recommendations benefiting the nation.
