Karzai inquires after Zardari

ISLAMABAD (PANinfo-icon): President Hamid Karzai telephoned his Pakistani counterpart Asif Ali Zardar to inquire abouthis  healthinfo-icon and convey him the best wishes of the Afghan government and people, the Presidency in Islamabad said.

During the telephone conversation late on Wednesday evening, the two leaders also discussed the current situation in the region, said Zardari's spokesperson, Farhatullah Babar.

Karzai inquired about the health of President Zardari and expressed satisfaction over his recovery. Babar said the presidents also conferred on issues of bilateral interest. Zardari thanked Karzai for his goodwill gesture.
