Bajaur bomb attack claims two lives

ISLAMABAD (PANinfo-icon): Two people were killed in a bomb explosion in Pakistaninfo-icon's northwestern tribal region of Bajaur, near the Afghanistaninfo-icon border, on Friday.

The remote-controlled bombing wounded four people in the Salarzai sub-district of Bajaur, bordering Afghanistan's eastern Kunar province, a private TV channel reported.

DawnNews said the suspected bomber was detained by policemen. The injured, including a child, were evacuated to the Khar Civil Hospital. Dr. Jamal Khattak said the injured were in critical condition.  

A tribal elder, also a member of a government-sanctioned local militia fighting the Talibaninfo-icon, was killed in the attack, said tribal administration official Islamzeb Khan.
