$23.5m cooperation pact inked with China

KABULinfo-icon (PANinfo-icon): A $23.5 million (1157 million afs) technical and financial cooperation agreement was signed between Afghanistaninfo-icon and China on Saturday, an official said.

The accord was inked between Foreign Minister Zalmai Rassoul and Chinese Ambassador to Afghanistan Xu Feihing, a spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told Pajhwok Afghan News.

Janan Musazai said the grant, part of Chinese help to Afghanistan, would be spent on development projects agreed between the two countries, a statement from ministry said.

Beijing has provided $200 million (9828 million afs) in aid to Afghanistan for the development sector since 2001, the statement added.
