ASADABAD (PAN): Newly-constructed buildings for two schools were inaugurated in eastern Kunar province on Wednesday, an official said.
Constructed by the Ministry of Education, the structures cost $ 116000 (5713000 afs), said Education Director Syed Jamal-ud-Din Hosni.
One of buildings for a high school in lower Sagi area has 12 rooms and the second for a middle school in upper Sagi area has six rooms having the capacity to accommodate 1400 and 600 students respectively, he said.
Maulvi Abdul Wahid, a local resident of lower Sagi, happy over the construction of the buildings, said students of the two schools had to face numerous problems in the past.
According to the provincial information department, buildings for 59 schools are under construction in across the province.
