MAIDAN SHAHR (PAN): Construction work on 40 school buildings has been completed in central Maidan Wardak province, officials said on Wednesday.
The buildings in nine districts were constructed at a cost of $2 million (98.24 million afs), provided by the World Dr. Farooq Wardak told a ceremony Maidan Shahr.
Afghanistan could be rebuilt through the promotion of education and all families must attach high priority to education, Governor Muhammad Haleem Fidayee remarked.
He urged the minister to order the construction of 30 more schools, an institute of management and administration, creation of 700 posts in the education department and building a technical high school in each district.
In response, Wardak said the demand was genuine and would be implemented next year.
