4 projects completed in Jawzjan

SHIBERGHAN (PAN): Four welfare projects, including a training programme, have been executed in northern Jawzjan province, an official said on Sunday.

The projects included a building for a teacher training centre, an English and computer course, a tailoring programme and equipment for Jawzjan University.  

Jointly funded by Turkey and the NATO) chief said.

Mohammad Apak told Pajhwok Afghan News the teacher training centre had three rooms and a meeting hall.

Up to 110 women learnt English and Turkish languages, computer skills and tailoring at the women’s affairs department, he said. The participants were given 20 computers, seven sewing machines, notebooks and other equipment.

The women’s affairs director, Najiba Quraishi, said the participants were imparted six-month courses by four trainers.
