3 civilians killed, 4 injured in Kapisa clash

MAHMOOD RAQI (PAN and Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers in central Kapisa province on Tuesday.

District cheif of Ala Sayee district Mullah Muhammad told Pajhwok Afghan News that the gunbattle occurred at about 4:00pm in the Ali Shah Khel area.

Two brothers were killed and four people of the area wounded, said the district chief, who did not know which side was responsible for the civilian casualties.

Abdul Razaq, a tribal elder from the area, said: “There has been fighting between Taliban and ANA soldiers in Ali Shah Khel for the last two days.” The wounded people were taken to a Kabul hospital by their relatives.

A similar clash in the district on Monday killed two Taliban fighters and injured four civilians, two policemen and an ANA soldier.
