ZARANJ (PAN fighters killed two men on the charge of spying for Afghan and foreign troops in southwestern Nimroz province, officials said on Saturday.

The victims, residents of Qala-i-Naw area of the Khashrod district, were gunned down by the rebels late on Saturday, Sag. Abdul Jalil, the district police chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News.

The alleged spies were killed after the Taliban recovered satellite cell phones from their possession

Mohammad Hasham Noorzai, the town’s administrative chief, confirmed the incident, but did not provide details.

Gul Mohammad, a provincial council member, said the men belonged to Taimori tribe and had no links with the government.
