ISLAMABAD (PAN’s troubled north Wazirstan tribal region near the Afghan border, officials said on Thursday.

Badar Mansoor, one of the most senior Al Qaeda, had been killed the strike that attack took place in Miranshah, 

Another two suspected militants were killed when the CIA-operated aircraft fired missiles into a compound at 4am in the Adam Khor area, political administration official Taslim Khan told Pajhwok Afghan News.

A local reporter, Malak Mumtaaz, said the compound was destroyed as a result of the strike and the victims could not be identified. He said the victims might be area people.

The attack comes a day after 10 members of the Haqqani network were killed on Wednesday morning in a similar incident in the Spalgi area, 15 kilometres south of Miranshah.

Drone attacks were halted for about a month after NATO helicopters targeted two Pakistani security posts in the Salala area of Mohmand Agency, killing 24 soldiers and injuring more than a dozen others on Nov. 26, 2011.
