9 Cabinet nominees introduced to lower house

KABUL, the lower house of Parliament, for trust vote on Wednesday, an official said.

Wolesi Jirga Deputy Secretary Mohammad Farhad Azimi told Pajhwok Afghan News the list of ministers-designate had been received by the house secretariat through the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs.

Mohammad Ishmael has been named as minister of energy and water, Eng. Amirzai Sangin as minister of telecommunications, Dr. Suraya Dalil as minister of public health’s’ affairs.

Dr. Obaidullah Obaid has been nominated as minister of higher education, Wais Ahmad Barmak as minister of rural rehabilitation, Daud Ali Najafi as minister of transport and civil aviation, Hassan Abdulhai as minister of urban development and Eng. Najibullah Awjan as minister of public works.

Currently, the ministries of energy and water, women affairs, public health, rural rehabilitation, transport and civil aviation, telecommunication and higher education are headed by acting ministers.
