Helmand collision leaves 3 dead, 10 injured

LASHKARGAH (PAN): Three people were killed and 10 others wounded in a traffic accident in the southern province of Helmand on Sunday, an official said.

The incident took place on the Herat-Kandahar highway in the Yakhchal area of Greshk district at around 9am when a tractor crashed into a passenger bus.

The governor’s spokesman, Daud Ahmadi, said security officials evacuated the dead bodies and wounded passengers to the district hospital from the scene.

The injured are said to be in stable condition. Syed Mohammad, a resident blamed the accident on carelessness and violation of traffic rules by the two drivers.
