KABUL): Preparations for the upcoming Kabul Conference, a continuation of the Istanbul process, were reviewed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday.
Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister Javed Lodin, ambassadors of several countries and representatives from the United Nations and other organisations attended the meeting.
The Kabul Conference would be held on June 14, Lodin said, adding that Afghanistan had met to a large extent the promises held out at the Istanbul Conference and hoped other participants would also take concrete steps for enhanced regional cooperation.
The trilateral summit among Turkish, Afghan and Pakistani presidents was held in Istanbul in November 2011, when a regional conference on the future of Afghanistan also took place in the Turkish capital
