Mar 15, 2012 - 16:36

GHAZNI CITY (PANinfo-icon):  A morning collision between a passenger van and a fuel tanker, on the Kabulinfo-icon-Kandahar highway, killed a passenger and injured five others.

The accident happened at around 8am in Rawza Kotal area on the eastern outskirts of Ghazni city, a traffic officer told Pajhwok Afghan News.

St. Capt. Mohammadullah Ahmadi said a van passenger died and five others wounded, and blamed the accident on the tanker’s diver for violating traffic rules.

However, Ghazni Civil Hospital head, Dr. Baz Mohammad Himmat, said eight wounded passengers had been admitted to the hospital and two of them are in a critical condition.

The injured people were aged between 25 and 30 years, he said.
