3 ISAF soldiers killed in roadside blasts

KABULinfo-icon (PANinfo-icon): Three NATOinfo-icon-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAFinfo-icon) soldiers were  killed in two separate incidents in the troubled south, the alliance said on Friday.

One of the soldiers was killed in a roadside bomb blast in southern Afghanistaninfo-icon on Friday morning, while the two others died in a similar incident on Thursday, an ISAF statement said.

Although the statement did not reveal the nationalities of the victims, most of the soldiers deployed to the south are Americans.

With the latest fatalities, the number of foreign soldiers killed in Afghanistan this year has risen to 93.  Last year, 556 ISAF troops were killed in the country.
