In a brief statement, ISAF said the soldier died in a non-battle related injury in southern part of the country, said to be a Taliban stronghold.
In line with its policy, ISAF neither disclosed the exact location of the incident nor the nationality of the victim.
But mostly US, British and Canadian troops are fighting against insurgents in the southern provinces.
Since early this year, 112 international soldiers had been killed in Afghanistan. In 2011, NATO-led coalition forces’ casualties were 566.
