Dustom backs peace talks with Taliban

KABULinfo-icon (PANinfo-icon): Junbish-i-Milli party leader Abdul Rashid Dustom on Sunday voiced his party’s support to the peace negotiations with the Talibaninfo-icon, saying he would welcome Mullahinfo-icon Omar and Sirajuddin Haqqani with flowers.

Addressing a conference participated by senior members of National Front of Afghanistaninfo-icon and a US congressional team, the Uzbek leader said the Taliban would continue to face residence until they stopped the violence.

He said the Taliban should not think the resisce against them would stop with removal some opponents.

"I ask all parties to the conflict, including Mullah Omar and Haqqani, to join the peace process and stop killing their brothers and destroying Afghanistan," he said.
