KUNDUZ CITY (PAN): A civilian was killed and two policemen were injured in a bomb explosion in the Dasht-i-Archi district of northern Kunduz province on Saturday, an official said.

The blast took place in the Eidgah area, four kilometer from the district center, at 2pm when the policemen on a motorcycle were passing by, a gubernatorial spokesman said.

Inayatullah Khaliq told Pajhwok Afghan News it was remote-control bomb planted by insurgents.

Resident Abdullah, who runs a general store near the site, said: “The policemen were passing through the area when the bomb exploded. I saw a body and two injured policemen.”
