TRINIKOT (PAN): Two local policemen were killed and three others wounded when a landmine ripped through their vehicle in central Uruzgan province, an official said on Saturday.

The bomb attack took place in the Khas Uruzgan district on Friday night, police spokesman Farid Aayel told Pajhwok Afghan News.

The local policemen were on a patrol in the Shali Naway area where their vehicle hit a roadside bomb, he said. The injured were taken to the Trinikot Civil Hospital, where they are said to be in a stable condition.
