 GHAZNI CITY (PANinfo-icon): Unidentified gunmen shot dead a tribal elder in a mosqueinfo-icon in southern Ghazni province, an official said on Tuesday.

The armed men gunned down the tribal elder Hajji Mohammad in a mosque in the Andar district, after he completed his evening prayer, a public representative from the district in the provincial council, Amanullah Kamrani told Pajhwok Afghan News.

The victim has no links with any party and usually involved in solving people’s problems in the area, he said, while blaming the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISIinfo-icon) of Pakistaninfo-icon for the murder.

Mohammad was sitting with his villagers in the mosque after performing the evening prayer when two gunmen on motorcycle fired at him, a witness said.

Hajji Mohammad was a Jihadi commander of Harakat-i-Islami Afghanistaninfo-icon who fought against the Soviet Union invasion.
