PUL-I-ALAM (PAN): A rocket shell landed inside the house of Pajhwok Afghan News reporter, but no one was injured in the incident in the central province of Logar, officials said on Thursday.

The shell hit the house of reporter, Maqsud Azizi, on Wednesday night in the Purak village on the outskirts of Pul-i-Alam, capital of the province, deputy police chief Raees Khan Sadiq told Pajhwok.

The village is under the control of Taliban fighters so investigating teams were not sent to the area, he said.

The only room in his house was damaged in the shelling, said Maulvi Immamuddin Sadar

a prayer leader of the village.

Azizi said the shell landed at 9 pm on the second floor of his house while his family members were in the first floor.

“I have no prior enmity with anyone. I don’t know who carried out this attack,” he said.

The Pajhwok reporter had also received deaths threats in the past from known people in the province.
