KABUL): Eight people were killed when their vehicle hit a roadside bomb in the Musa Qala district of southern Helmand province , local authorities said on Tuesday.
In a statement, the Ministry of Interior in Kabul said Monday’s blast in the Chapa Asia area of the district also wounded five civilians. The ministry did not reveal further details.
The wounded were taken to hospital by Afghan police, the ministry said, condemning the attack as an an inhuman and cowardly act of the enemies of peace and stability — a euphemism for Taliban fighters.
