ISLAMABAD (PAN): Five people were killed in a US drone attack in the North Waziristan, while leader of Aman Lakhar shot dead in Peshawar city, the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
On Tuesday night, CIA-operated drone fired missiles on a house in the Dri Nashtar area of Shawal sub-district, said a local administration official, Mohammad Akbar Khan.
Five people died and two others wounded in the air attack, he said, but identities of the victims were still unknown.
Zahid, a local resident, said the house was completely destroyed and the victims could not be identified, but local security officials said they were local militants.
Separately, unidentified gunmen shot dead Aman Lashkar leader, Fahim, along with his three partners in the Abdul Razaq area of Peshawar city, security officials said.
Fahim, who established the Lashkar involving local youths to fight against Taliban, had several times escaped unhurt from suicide attackers in the past.
