KABUL’s efforts at securing peace with the rebels.

The Hizbi Jamiat-i-Islami in a statement issued here said Rabbani left for Riyadh on Monday afternoon at an official invitation from King Abdullah.

The statement said in order to bring peace and stability to Afghanistan, the top peace negotiator would to muster Abdullah’s support for Afghan peace process during his visit.  

It said Rabbani was accompanied by the council’s spokesman, Maulvi Qyamudin Kashaf, secretary Masoom Stanikzai and member Maulvi Aminudin Muzafari.
