ISAF loses 2 more soldiers in eastern Afghanistan

KABULinfo-icon (PANinfo-icon): Two International Security Assistance Force soldiers died in separate incidents in eastern Afghanistaninfo-icon on Saturday, the alliance said.

One service-member succumbed to a non-battle-related injury while the other died in an insurgent attack in the Talibaninfo-icon’s eastern heartland.

The deaths were announced in brief statements from the NATOinfo-icon-led force that did not reveal the soldiers’ nationalities in line with its policy.

Mostly US troops are stationed in eastern Afghanistan. With the latest fatalities, the number of foreign troops killed in Afghanistan so far during the current year has reached 239, including 177 Americans.
