ISLAMABAD (PAN Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf on Friday welcomed the Afghan government’s decision on granting multiple visas to businessmen from his country.

At a meeting with his Minister of Commerce Makhdoom Amin Fahim , Ashraf said that the issue figured at his talks with President Hamid Karzai in Kabul on Thursday.

A statement from the Prime Minister’s House said that Ashraf complimented Karzai for agreeing to grant multiple entry visas to Pakistani businessmen.

During a joint media briefing with the Pakistani premier at the Presidential Palace in Kabul, Karzai made the announcement after comprehensive discussion between the two sides on a wide range of issues.

Fahim hoped Kabul’s decision would boost economic and trade relations between the neighbours and benefit the people on both sides of the borders. The growth of trade and commerce hinged on businessmen’s facilitation by host countries.
