WASHINGTON (PAN.

As a result of his designation as a global terrorist, Americans are forbidden from having any tie with the insurgent leader and all his properties and financial interests in the US are forfeited.

Mansur al-Harbi, a Saudi citizen, travelled to Afghanistan more than a decade ago to join Al Qaida.  “He is responsible for training militants and for the coordination of foreign fighters who travel to Afghanistan to fight against coalition forces.

“As a result of his key training position, al-Harbi is closely connected to many senior Al Qaida leaders,” the State Department said.

He is also wanted for extradition by Saudi Arabia for participating in terrorist activities and for having ties to Al Qaida.

According to the Saudi Ministry of Interior, Mansur al-Harbi is accused of working at a training camp in Afghanistan and is tied to numerous senior Al Qaida leaders, including Abdel Aziz Migrin and Sayf al-Adl.
